Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny is the latest instalment in the Indiana Jones franchise, watch the trailer here!

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny has been announced with the arrival of its first official trailer, showing off Harrison Ford returning to the titular role. While many thought his days playing the wise cracking adventurer were long behind him, with rumours of a younger actor taking over the role, Harrison Ford just can’t put the whip and fedora to bed, for better or worse. Watch the trailer below!

INDIANA JONES RETURNS

Lucasfilm had kept relatively quiet regarding the Indiana Jones franchise ever since they were acquired by Disney back in 2012 though the intention had always seemed to be there to make another film. A fifth film had finally been confirmed to be in development in 2016 however a number of writers and producers dropped off and on the project which caused a number of delays. Ford himself always expressed an interest in returning to the character (shame he doesn’t feel the same about Han Solo) regardless of how long it took to make the film, referring to the time difference between the release of The Last Crusade and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

While details of the movie’s plot are scarce at the moment it appears we’ll see Indiana Jones reunite with his old friend from Raiders of the Lost Ark Sallah (played by John Rhys-Davies) in an attempt to find an artefact known as, you guessed it, The Dial of Destiny. The film will also cover the Space Race of the late 1900’s and feature former Nazi’s assisting the Americans in beating their Cold War rivals to the punch. How much of a focus this will be to the plot itself remains unknown but with more trailers sure to be released between now and its release, there will be plenty time for more details to become available.

Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny is set for release on June 30th 2023.
